Remarks

• Herpes zoster : children 3 months and older: 20mg / kg / dose PO TID max 1g / dose).
• Herpes simplex children 3 months and older 20mg / kg / dose PO BID (max 1000mg / dose).
• Valacyclovir can be taken with or without food.
• Patient must stay well hydrated.
• Caution in patients over 65 years or with impaired renal function.
